Right now, things are a bit of a mess at home. I lost my grandfather (technically my granduncle, but fuck legal terms) on the night of May 14th, and everyone is a bit torn up about it, to say the least. We're still dealing with all the little things that come afterward, like closing accounts and transferring important things to new hands, but we're managing.
(I plan on writing something about him in another post, but I want to sit down and think things through in it.)
The big thing right now is the budget. My grandfather was one of the major incomes for the house even in retirement, handling our phones, house insurance, and auto insurance. My uncle (who is the last parent I have, and whom I live with) is tasking me with handling the food budget, since I tend to focus on keeping things as cheap as possible. It's something I'm certainly going to try and do my best with.
And why don't I "get a job"? Well, scoliosis kinda makes that difficult thanks to m weakened spine, but getting on disability is also a pain, and I'd have to get a lawyer just to deal with that, not to mention paying for medical bills to get the tests done for approval in the first place.
Thing is, once this all calms down a bit, I'm going to return to writing. I've wanted to make writing my career for a long time, as it's something I enjoy doing. I've just been unable to really work on anything with all that's happened for the last several months.
That said, there are a few things I want to focus on out of the gate:
That fourth option is tentative, as I'm not sure how viable it would be for me. But working on some IF pieces is something I've been playing with for a couple years now, and I really want to get back into it. I miss playing text adventures, and I'd love to fully design some of my own.
There's a massive number of thoughts going through my head, and not all of them are positive, but I'm going to keep moving forward as best I can.

- A possible Patreon or Sponsus/SubscribeStar setup.
