starseerdrgn | Pretty much writting off January as well

At this point, I've pretty much written off January for any sort of productive advancement in my writing/creative stuff.

I share a room with my mate Sildrae. The problem is that, when he goes to bed, I pretty much have to halt everything I'm doing until he fully falls asleep, as my typing and mouse clicks tend to keep him from falling asleep (and annoy the crap out of him). If he starts to wake up, I tend to stop working as well, since I don't want to wake him. As such, the constant stopping kinda kills any momentum I have with working.

I'm pretty sure I'll need to do that when he and Calyo swap rooms as well (Calyo is currently in a room on her own).

So... Why not just work during the day? Well, we life with my aging parents, one of whom needs someone to give them insulin shots, dress wounds, etc... Usually, he comes to me. As such, I work best at night, when I'm less likely to be interrupted by...well, pretty much everyone in the house. However, these days, it's honestly a miracle if I'm able to work at all with all of the things I have to tiptoe around.

As such, I'm already declaring January another write-off month. I've already trashed (not scrapped, trashed) eight story ideas that I'd started, which is already a record for most stories I've given up on in a month's time. I don't see this getting any easier as time rolls on, or even when the room swap happens.

I don't know when I'll be able to work on things next. All I know is that, if I keep forcing myself to try working when I know it's fruitless, I'm just going to grow to hate writing. I'm already getting close to that point as it is, even with others pushing me to keep trying. But, I don't have anything else to really do.

I don't have other hobbies. I can't due art due to injuries to my arm and wrist. I can't do music since I run into the same problems as my writing. Can't do gaming since that's what brought up the problem in the first place, and I don't really enjoy gaming as it is. I don't have any other hobbies, so... I don't really know what to do.

That's all I really have to say for now, though.
