So, I make it no secret that, of all web browsers, SeaMonkey is my favorite of them all. I use it MacOS, and I use it on Windows, with PaleMoon/NewMoon as my secondaries. Having my mail, IRC, RSS feeds, and web browsing all in one place is a massive boon, and works with a workflow I've had since the days of the Mozilla Suite, way back during my Windows 98 days. Yeah... I used the original Mozilla suite, and I still think it kicks Firefox's tail any day of the week. Hell, I love it far more than Chrome.

It's just sad that, when we have web standards, most so-called web developers will gladly make sure their own code only runs on Chrome, or occasionally on Blink-based browsers (though some will literally only make Chrome a viable option). And it's sad because many of these devs just simply don't give a shit about anyone but themselves. They make something, and fuck anyone who isn't just like them. Just look at Twitter, or Discord.

The browser wars are still on. It's just that many don't want competition. They want an absolute monopoly to be the winner, since it means they don't need to deal with choices that they'd otherwise not want to make.

And yet, I can't drag myself to give a crap about things either, since I know Google controls the web standards now. Maybe not on paper, but with only three rendering engines left (Blink, Gecko, Webkit), and a vast majority of the browsers using Google's Blink engine, it's pretty much theirs in spirit. And there's nothing anyone can do about it at this point.

Yet, I'll still be back here, using SeaMonkey, because it's what I like.
