starseerdrgnIt's a phrase I've been seeing a lot more often as of late. People who come into a chat or stream and complain about things, or turn things political, or constantly post discourse or politics in comments, are getting a response of "Go back to Twitter" from a growing number of people. And I'll be honest, it's very telling of just how tired many are of the outrage machine that is social media. I can include myself in that list.
The constant and large amount discourse and rage that comes out of the woodwork for everything is the real problem, not the discourse itself. Everything prioritizes negativity in their algorithms, so all you'll often see is drama, complaints, and rage about practically anything that comes out or happens. And people use that to get more views and traction for themselves, which in turns causes it to more highly prioritize the negative stuff, creating an feedback loop.
So please, take your discourse to Twitter. The rest of us are tired of it.
