So... A thing happened.

starseerdrgnSo, you may have seen on Twitter that I was considering an emergency GoFundMe for something. That was then cancelled, and I said I'd make a journal explaining the issue. This is that journal.
On Sunday, my grandfather blew up at one of my mates. He waited until he thought I was asleep, then used that time to give them an ultimatum that he was going to kick my mates out in two months. He didn't realize I was actually awake, and when I went into the room, he looked at me and said I "had nothing to do with it" before I could say anything.
Two things here: 1) He didn't talk about this decision to anyone before making it, and 2) He's not the owner of the house. My uncle is the owner.
This triggered my anxiety to go full-tilt, and one mate's depression to go into overdrive.
Today, I talked with my uncle, and he's going to try and keep my grandfather off our backs until we can get somewhere ourselves—something we've been trying to do this whole time. One mate is working, the other has gone through three abusive employers (one of which is under federal investigation for mass HIPPA violations, another which actually caused his therapist to give him a doctor's order to quit) and is applying for disability.
That leaves me. I'm going to try and get my ass going on writing some short stories to sell in an anthology before I work on my first full-sized novel—which has been in the planning for a while. I actually have Pages '09 open in the background for the first short of the anthology while I'm thinking through a few things.
The anthology will be SFW shorts, and go up on iBooks and Smashwords, and maybe Amazon. I say "maybe" to Amazon because they take 65% of the sale, compared to iBooks only taking 30%, and Smashwords only taking 15%! Yeah… Amazon rips off the authors. They've always done this.
If I can get back into the swing of working again, I'm going to start selling longer stories on Sellfy, and maybe start promoting my ko-fi a bit harder on FA and such. I'm very much holding back on Patreon due to all of the anti-erotica actions that the payment processors have been enforcing on them, but if things clear up, I'll consider setting something up.
That's where I'm sitting right now. I'll keep people updated as needed, though.
